Moving Time

Over the past couple months I feel like I have really gotten to know people in a different way.  It seems like both friends and new acquaintances act differently when they know you are leaving soon.  It's strange because I also feel like I've become much closer to some - - and have found others to be people I wish I had more time to spend my days with and share myself with.

Soon I will have a new place to live and a whole new city of people to try to figure out and sort through.  It's actually pretty exciting, although I will really really miss my favorites here in Seattle.

Look forward to some probably big changes and new inspirations from this new city LA.

Bainbridge Island gets an article about it again...

Here's an interesting article about Bainbridge.  I wouldn't say that it is true at all because Bainbridge definitely had running water and I doubt if everyone or even close to everyone had a beard - - but I definitely find it irritating that it costs so much money to get over there now - clearly because it's now trendy.

These are things I will miss when I'm far away from my island

Strawberry Lemonade

Today I was delighted to find that it was sunny and I made some delicious fresh strawberry lemonade.  My juicer is amazing!

KICKSTARTER FUNDING: metaldudes and cats

I am currently working on setting up our Metaldudes and Cats Book Project on Kickstarter.  This will really help us to get the funding to professionally publish our book and make it look as beautiful and perfect as it deserves to be.

If anyone has suggestions for rewards for those who would like to donate, or even suggestions on what you think would be fun to see in the video about the project - - shoot me an email!

Metaldudes and Cats Book update

I have just applied for a Kickstarter account to promote and fundraise for our Metaldudes and Cats Book Project!

Hopefully I will end up getting this account so that people can contribute to the project and help us get it published.

This project is about my two favorite things:  metaldudes and cats.  It is going to be a coffee table culture and occult art book that features full color high quality photographs and images.  For the first 70-100 pages of the book, each page will be a full page portrait.  Then, the last 10-20 pages of the book will feature submitted photographs and artwork.

I've been fortunate enough to have some really amazing friends who posed for my camera  - - already I've been able to finish 1-3 photoshoots a day!

We are still looking for more metaldudes in Montana, so if anyone knows of people who would be a good fit for this project please email me!!

The Triple V: Virgines Vestales Videos

Here are two out of maybe 5 shows we have played on film. All film was shot and edited by Jean-Paul Garnier (deloopooled on youtube) and Benj Cameron (bennybrownell on youtube). I'll post more about their work together soon!

Virgines Vestales last show

Corrie, Joy and I currently have a group known as Virgines Vestales - - we've been playing music together for a while now and have definitely improved our repetoire as time has progressed.  We have played a handful of shows, and our last one is tonight!  Since I'm moving to LA we won't have a chance to play together for a while which is very sad - - but hopefully at some point we will be back at it, even if it's simply while I'm up to visit.

The show tonight is at the MERCURY at 930pm.  It's going to be pretty amazing - - we are integrating part of a Black Sabbath song into our set, but in Virgins Style of course!

i'll post a few videos of past performances soon.  There's a couple videos that still aren't up due to how long they take to upload - but they're a comin!

Also, while I have it - here is film shot and edited by Benj Cameron of our old band together (Sioux City Pete, Amanda Prince, John Humphrey, Benj Cameron and I) known as Caligula Cartel.  The band still plays but I am no longer involved.  Check it out!!  This was our second show ever and it was pretty great.

Sketches Turned Prints

Some of the work I've done in pen and ink sketch later turned into prints(photos of prints are at the very bottom) through transfer method...

Naomi Naomi

This lady really knows how to formulate some pretty brain busting artwork.  If you haven't checked it out before - DO IT!

Here's an example of her awesome work:

We are currently working on a trade of some sort - - I drew her a nice ram's skull (here it is...)

for a tattoo she is looking to get.  I'm still not sure what we are trading for - but it will be wonderful since all of her work is splendid!

Check her out!!!

2 new treasuries and weekend fun!

Over the weekend we went up to Bellingham to kick off the celebration of Jean-Paul's birthday week (thats right, birthday week.) and take more photos for the Metaldudes and Cats Project.  The photos turned out swimmingly and we had a great time - - with accomodating host and hostess!

I've also made 3 appointments for this week for more photos - so I am starting to finish up the photos for Seattle and soon will be moving on to photograph LA! I am so excited for this project to come to fruition in book form.

Today I also made 2 new treasuries in light of beautiful new ideas, crisp changes, and the light and life of spring finally making its way back to us.
