A Failure To Communicate
I have been so busy I have been unable to update this for quite a long time. Since I last updated, I have finished all of my photoshoots for Metaldudes Cats Book in Los Angeles, and reached my goal of 100 completed photoshoots for the project. I currently also have 250 + submitted photos from metal guys around the world with their cats, which is very exciting. I've just come out with a chapbook/zine for Metaldudes + Cats Book via an amazing woman named Marna whom I know down here. It will be available on www.buknudesign.etsy.com very very soon. Buttons for the project are now available on that site as well, and shirts are coming soon.
The book is still in the works but I am still looking at late January 2012 as my publishing date. After much toil and torment over publishing and issues with those interested, I've decided to self publish. I think this is an exciting prospect, really, because it means the book will be exactly how I want it to look, will convey exactly what I want it to convey and how I decide to convey it. There will be a benefit show for a no-kill cat shelter in Los Angeles for the book on December 1st at The Redwood in downtown.
Bands playing all include at least one member I have photographed for the book and are as follows: Gutsaw, Harassor, Conjuror, I Dream of Apocolypse. I was hoping Winterthrall would also play but they were unable to due to some specific circumstances. I'm really looking forward to the turn out for this event, as well as seeing how much we can raise for the cat shelter.
