Cooking Experiment 1: Vegan Tofu Benedict

This actually turned out amazingly!!  Hollandaise made from:

Earth Balance
Soymilk
Turmeric
Nutritional Yeast
Veganaise
Cayenne
Salt
Pepper
Garbanzo Flour

 Yummmmm!

  1. Sounds delicious... any tips on quantities for the hollandaise, or did you mostly wing it?

  2. I started the hollandaise like I do with any gravy I make, melt about 2-3Tb of Earth Balance over low heat and then add in about the same amount of flour while stirring lightly. Once that's evenly distributed, you can add in the soymilk - I'd say a cup or so - slowly on higher heat, stirring consistently to keep it thickening evenly. Everything else is pretty much to taste!! Let me know how it comes out if you try it!
